Adventure of Red Part 1

-Part 1
Red woke up and got out of bed. Today was his tenth birthday. He walked down the stairs.
"Morning Red." His mother greeted him.
"I'm off to get my first Pokémon."
"You know what you want?"
"Yeah, a Squirtle." Red walked out the door.
Oak greeted Red when he entered.
"Which one is Squirtle, Professor?"
"It should be the middle pokeball."
"Sup Red." Blue said.
"What are you doing here Blue, I thought you got your Pokémon last month."
"I did, but I thought it would be boring if my Pokémon was much stronger than yours. Than the battles wouldn't be as fun."
"Since when did you care?"
"That's besides the point."
Red took the pokeball in the middle and checked it. Sure enough, it was Squirtle.
"WHAT THE- why is it odd colors?"
"That's what we call a Shiny Pokémon." Oak Answered.
"You're giving out shiny Pokémon?"
"Lucky bastard! Why didn't you give me the shiny Pokémon?" Blue said
"I forgot I even had a shiny Squirtle." Oak replied. "Besides, I figured you will probably catch plenty of shiny Pokémon."
Red left in the middle of the conversation and went to Viridian City.
"Wait a minute, Oak forgot to give me a pokedex!" Red realized.

Lol, i hate the ones i cant open. How the mackerel can be that called a window?
