| I know that my last review was ungodly but I must do this review. I must !
Beware. This review is filled with terrible English and TL;DR
Let me just start off by saying one thing.. Pixar is amazing. In my opinion, it's my favorite movie-making company of all time. It's just that they've never done a single bad film. Either the movies they've done have been either good or outstanding. And I think this movie falls into the outstanding category.
I love the Toy story movies. The first one I loved. The second one i didn't love but I liked it. I kinda felt that there were things done in Toy story 3 that improved upon what I consider to be shortcomings of the 2nd film. I liked the 2nd one alot but I thought that there was too much focus on Woody. I know it was essentially his movie when everyone else was just a sub-character moving around his experience and I really didn't like the "surprise" toy villian. I though that was sort of a "Oh we got you" type of thing. But I thought the idea of there being a negative toy in the bunch was a good idea. Toy story 3 improves on all of this. This is literally everyone's story. It's like a combination of everything these characters have been through together. It has a similar plot to the 2nd film because essentially everybody sorta realized that Andy isn't gonna be a kid forever and that he's gonna grow up and they're not gonna get played with anymore and they kinda had to make a decision between being admired under glass for eternity well at least woody did or to stick with his kid. In this movie, that moment has come : Andy is going off to college and the toys ended up being donated to this day care and they have to make a decision between being played with for eternity or going back to take care of their kid. So it's that same, one-track, storyline that the 2nd one had. But this has the layer and depth that I felt wasn't there when there are backstories and subplots for, pretty much, every single character that's put in there. Some of the new characters like Lotso (that bear guy) have a story that is kinda tragic and even if he ends up being a villian in this movie, you can't help but sympathize for him and you can really feel for him. Pixar always makes me do that. They always make me feel about these characters and that's one thing I really like about Pixar. That's how sharp the writing is. That's how much they care. And I know that this company has said many times that they're not interested in making sequals for the sake of making another die-em-off of a franchise.I think the only sequels they ever made are Toy Story 2 and 3, if I'm not mistaken. If this is what they do to their sequels then I say more power to them and I can't wait to see Cars 2 because this is a phenomenal job. I think that of the 3 films this is probobly the best one in terms of story. To me, it's layered the most 'in-depth' and the one that made me care the most. This film does a very good job balancing light-heartedness and emotionality with a really dark tone in alot of places. I mean, there are alot of tragic stories that alot of these toys have. The things that happened to Jessie in her toy life are very tragic and the things that happens to Lotso in this film is just really sad but they never spend too much time on one of these themes before moving on to something else so you're not constantly stuck in the same thing of just feeling sorry and depressed for these people. They do a really good job of switching tracks so much that you don't always feel stuck in one particular mood but I think that this is really the darkest of the 3. I mean it gets really dark at the end when the toys are preparing for their death literally. You got all the toys just accepting their fate and just waiting to die and if you haven't seen the movie, I'm really sorry for spoiling that. You'll just have to see it to figure out what I mean. And so I thought it was a dark point in the film but I thought it was very well-done just for that moment where we figure out that these people have each other, literally no matter what. I thought the Spanish Buzz Lightyear was awesome. I thought that it was a very interesting twist on the Buzz "thinking he's a real astonaut" that they tried to keep alive in the other movies. In the 1st film, it was a big part on what the movie was about and they tried to keep that spirit alive and they didn't do so much of a great job in the second movie as far as I was concerned by just replacing just one Buzz Lightyear with another. But putting him in Spanish mode was a very good way in keeping that spirit alive.
Alright the following is spoiler alert, so if you haven't seen the movie I suggest you stop reading now.
One of the things that was very well-done is that this is the last time these characters are all going to be together unless they make another one in which I hope they do. And so I though that it was very important and it was a good decision on the part of the writers to have Andy explain, one-by-one, why he loves these toys and what they all mean to him and he gives them a sendoff that is very touching. Well it stands on its own compared to even the 1st film and I really liked it.

| Well, in Toy Story 3, I didn't cry but I did get that depressing feel of the movie. Throughout the whole movie, me and my friends were asking why this toy story movie was so depressing. | |

| It's actually is kinda creepy seeing Andy as a grown man playing with the toys. Not to mention he's playing with them outside. Where people can see him. And yes yes I know my review is TL;DR. | |
