But I don't really think of Absol as a dog. imo.
hm... I think there are too many water and grass types (I like them but as I said, too much.) there need to be more fire types. there were only 4 I think Pokémon that were introdued in gen 4 that were fire types. | |

Well Bulbapedia said that absol is maybe base on the Barghest, a monstrous black dog in English folklore. Seeing one was believed to portend imminent death or misfortune, but unlike the Barghest, Absol warns people about disasters. It may be also be based on the black cat superstition. Its independence, habitat, and body seem to be reminiscent of a cougar. Absol's head is modeled after a Taijitu ("yin-yang"). Also, Absol may resemble the kutabe, a white beast that predicted that a plague would sweep through the Toyama Prefecture of Japan. (copy and pasted xD) anyways... yea in 4th gen there wasnt a lot of fire types but in fact the total of fire types are 33, but only a few is made in the game for 4th gen. and there is 92 water types and fore grass types there is only 55. what they really need more of is dragons and ghosts types | |
