PDC Story

Hello everybody, here is how PDC was made. I will continue with this later and may add a HTML page for it later.


1. Getting introduced to websites

December 2008

I was finishing classes. Thats is when i found http://miragemaster.webs.com also called as Pokeprof. It had a xat chat, as you might guess, I entered there and as every newbie does, i asked for trades and battles, only. After that i met with Ranberth, the owner of the website, who changed a little my mind. I met up with some owners wich i didnt liked: They power abused and lied to Ranberth. I met up with Gabriel, one of our currently main owners, you cant imagine how annoying he seemed to be at first. He was the first person which talked to me.

January 2009
I was getting started with trades and got a basic battle team for Wi-Fi. I was interested in how easy Ranberth could manage his site. I wanted to see how it felt to have a website (Do never do these things, you will end up having more work than you expected and unpleasent people). I was still a noob. Not asking for battles, i accepted them, though i always asked for trades and to be owner. As every mid-noob does.

2. Inspiration, meetings & help

March 2009
After my holydays I was now not so noob. But there was a trouble in Pokeprof and Ranberth cosed the chat.
I got through many chats, one made by Rodry and Gale, two owners wich power abused. Gale told me that he was like me some time ago, and i promised him i wont ask for trades every 5 minutes. I Just asked once for trades. At that time i met up with Espeon at a place called Doomhound. She totally changed my mind. Then, Clonecharizard told me to go to his chat. I went there and become owner in not much time. Took some time to understand his forums known as PLN. I was now not noob anymore. Became mod in Pokeprof, and one day i wanted something, i wanted to make a site like Clonecharizard and Ranberth. I created http://xat.com/Pokemont , the chat you can see everywhere in this forum. I saw an ad in PLN for creating a website at Webs.com, I got interested and created PJ. I met many people in PLN, Caz, Random, Mence, James, Rob, Link, Mike, Jay and much more.

April 2009
Got my birthday by that date. PJ seemed to be growing. It was a simple made website. It only had 200 to 400 posts. But i was fine with that. I was with Shaymin and Espeon most of the time. If you want the link, http://pokemonjugdement.webs.com , but its totally dead by now. Pokeprof was back. Pokemont was added to my page and a similar chatroom was, too. We sometimes chat in them, we had some probems, but they were easy to solve.

May 2009
Clonecharizard saw my site, PJ and offered me to take a forummotion forum. I already tried to make one by that date, but imagine my face when i saw HTML codes. I said i couldnt do it. Still, he offered me to get started with a better host than webs. I accepted. Clonecharizard gave me PokemonDestiny. In the chat, just taking a look at the new site i met up with Suciune. We got affiliated soon and she made me my first button and banner. They both had giratina in it so i decided giratina will be the main Pokémon for this forum. But what interested me more was the button: It said PDC in big white letters. Thats how this forum is called PDC by now. I also leant how to make buttons so that didnt annoyed Suciune every time I wanted one. I closed PJ and moved onto PDC, but i saw Espeon didnt liked the idea. She was a little confused with the forums, also FAQ can help by now. Thats is when i promised i will never change of site again. PDC Forever.

3. PDC starts getting active

June 2009 to August 2009

I decided to leave Pokeprof because i couldnt manage to make friends the owners in there and left. Ranberth got me back in some days and all the power abusing owners were demoted. I and Gabriel were good friends by now, we both were made owners in pokeprof. Changed PDCs theme to one designed by me. We met Jimbster. He at first got banned and spammed PDC. that why every word now gets censored. I recognize I got a little addicted to making the forum safe, but there are always spammers around, and we cant help much. Then he started getting into PDC until he got to VIP members, actually. We also met up with Matt, a graphics designer. He taught me patietly how to make xat pics, then i improved by myself. I also tried to make PDCW but was very difficult for me by then (A lot of people copied my idea, including Matt). I left the project suspended for a long time. Also, we got near 50% of our total posts in a month. Clonecharizard changed the chatbox, and everyone started a big discussion about it. I decided to quit PLN.

4. A dead end

September 2009 to Febraury 2010

PDC felt into a dead season, no posts, no NOTHING. We werent as different as we are now. I started making graphics and calling people to help us improve. Not much happened by then. PLN got closed. Pokestation replaced it. We were very mad at Clone for doing that. But we cant change nothing arguing. We are trying not to fell into that again, yet its impossible for me by now. I need everyones help, i cant do it alone. Only one sentence i read on a book in english made me continue. I will quote it exactly from my book:
".....Even though you know you're licked before you begin, but you begin anyway and you see it through no matter what. You rarely win, but sometimes you do...."



5. Reborn

Now, April 2010

We now get aprox 40 posts per day, we have normal stats, we dont want to make a jump in members or posts, we want to make things slowly. I make all the graphics with some help from Kris. I must update PDC at least once a week. Im currently on my project called PDCW again, but i stopped for a little time to rest. I decided to add the link here wen its finished. I dont say it will be all done for this year, but i may go for it. But theres always someone who wants to copy that idea, and i got to make it secret till i finish it all. I will sure get my computer fixed by the end of this month, so i will have to wait. Got a lot more to update, but it wont load.





There have been much more things in here that will be explained as long as i can stay online. Sorry if any spelling, grammar error, this computer is just too slow.
There are much more details, that of couse, i wont explain cause they will get off topic and i dont want the first post to do that x3
